At 4-8, the Lions are just a single game ahead of the 3-9 Cardinals in the standings. If the season ended today, the Lions would pick No. 5 in the 2019 NFL Draft, one spot below the Cardinals who are currently slotted in at No. 4.

On Wednesday, the Lions released their initial Week 14 Injury Report and appearing on the report is quarterback Matthew Stafford who is dealing with a back issue.

*The Lions conducted a walkthrough on Wednesday. The practice participation designations for that day are based on estimations.

Players who were not estimated to practice at all on Wednesday include Trevor Bates (LB), Kerryon Johnson (RB), and Devon Kennard (LB). Those joining Stafford as limited include Ezekiel Ansah, Nick Bellore, Bruce Ellington, Kenny Golladay, and Brandon Powell.

It’s still early in the week so there is no major concern with Stafford but it would be nice to see him get a full practice in on Thursday or Friday.

It’s that time of year again!

You know, the time when the leaves have all fallen from the trees and we have already had our first snow of the season. Oh, and don’t let me forget, the rumors (and flat out lies) about Jim Harbaugh leaving the University of Michigan for the NFL.

Ever since Harbaugh back to coach at his alma mater, there has been speculation that he was just waiting for the right time to head back to the National Football League. He has been rumored to be the next head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, the Chicago Bears, and there were even some morons out there who thought he would take a job with the Detroit Lions!

Seriously, you cannot make this stuff up. Well, I guess some people can.

Of course, each and every one of those rumors was make-believe horseshit at best. Yet, whenever a rumor would come out, it spread like wildfire. Social media went crazy, local radio hosts like Mike Valenti wasted our time discussing it, and plenty of national sports shows such as First Take and Pardon the Interruption made sure to dig into it.
