Dateline: Dec. 8, 2013, Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia
Five years ago today, one of the most memorable Lions games of the 21st century took place. A pair of 7-5 teams jockeying for NFC playoff position met in Philadelphia. The Lions and Eagles faced off against each other…and the snow.
Oh how it snowed!

The Lions surged out to an early lead thanks to Jeremy Ross returning a punt and a kick for touchdowns, as well as a strong early TD run from Joique Bell. Unfortunately, the Lions defense could not stop LeSean McCoy, Chris Polk and Nick Foles in the fourth quarter. Philadelphia scored TDs on its final five drives, rushing for over 200 yards after halftime. Seven Lions fumbles, three of which the Eagles recovered, slowed things down for Detroit.
The Eagles rallied for a 34-20 win over Jim Schwartz’s Lions, who would subsequently lose the rest of their games and see Schwartz fired.
NFL.com still shows the highlight reel. Enjoy the snow!
