Lions hire Sean Ryan as quarterbacks coach

Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced these days that they have employed Sean Ryan as quarterbacks mentor.

Ryan arrives to Detroit right after spending the past a few seasons (2016-18) with the Houston Texans, which include the previous two seasons as the team’s quarterbacks mentor. Prior to Houston, he was a member of the New York Giants coaching staff for nine seasons where he served in various capacities, which include offensive good quality control (2007-09), wide receivers (2010-11, 2014-15) and quarterbacks mentor (2012-13).

Ryan began his coaching job as the quarterbacks mentor at Siena University in 1997. His past coaching stops at the higher education degree contain assistant mentor positions at Albany (1998-99), Colgate (2000), Boston University (2001-02), Columbia (2003-05) and Harvard (2006).

A indigenous of Hudson Falls, N.Y., Ryan played defensive again and linebacker at Hamilton University. He graduated from Hamilton in 1994 in advance of earning a master’s degree in higher training administration from Albany.
