Ex-Detroit Lions star Calvin Johnson gets preliminary approval…


DETROIT – Previous Detroit Lions star Calvin Johnson has been offered prequalification standing to open a clinical marijuana provisioning center in Metro Detroit.

Michigan’s Healthcare Marihuana Licensing Board voted 4- Thursday in favor of the application.

The board regarded preliminary acceptance for 84 possible clinical marijuana corporations and remaining acceptance for 17 clinical marijuana business licenses.

Johnson and his spouse have registered the Bloomfield Hills business as Michigan Group Collective.

He and another previous Lion, Rob Sims, ended up denied preliminary apps in December for clinical marijuana increasing, processing and provisioning services. The licensing board cited small visitors tickets for Johnson and troubles with residences Sims owns in the suburb of Dearborn.

The condition is functioning to license clinical marijuana business. Voters accredited clinical marijuana a ten years back and leisure marijuana in November.

Johnson used 9 period with the Detroit Lions before abruptly retiring soon after the 2015 period.
