The 2019 season has started early for the Detroit Lions. With changes to their roster coming soon, here are the top five tradeable players this offseason.

There’s a growing belief that the Detroit Lions brass will initiate a huge turnover this offseason when it comes to their roster. In order to make that happen, some guys from the old regime will likely be cut loose. While others are worthy of trade consideration.

Here’s my list of the top five players who are currently on the Lions’ roster that I believe are the most tradeable assets Detroit has this offseason. I’ll also include an projected asking price and possible draft compensation

Marvin Jones Jr. – Wide Receiver

Easily the most attractive asset the Lions have. The eight year veteran wide receiver is recovering from a knee injury but is still under contract through 2020 at a very friendly price.

Although the Lions would eat more of the contract than save from it, Jones Jr. is vastly underpaid and could make more elsewhere. With a potential out for 2019, both parties could benefit from moving on, but not if it means giving him away.

Asking price per draft pick: 2nd-3rd round
Expected draft compensation: 3rd-4th round
Best trade type based on value: Player for draft pick
Best time to exercise trade: Offseason (Pre draft)
